Children are the heart of every community’s future, and supporting their growth and well-being can spark a ripple effect of positive change. Embracing this belief, the residents of a Boca Raton, Florida, community have made it their mission to uplift local youth. The Boca West Children’s Foundation, founded and led by Boca West residents, is dedicated to aiding at-risk children and their families across Boca Raton and Palm Beach County. In 2024 alone, the Foundation donated over $1.5 million to nonprofit organizations in the region. Here’s a closer look at the impact of their milestone year.
About the Boca West Children’s Foundation
The Boca West Children’s Foundation was born from the desire of thousands of Boca West Country Club Members to give back to their community in a meaningful way. Established as an independent nonprofit in 2010, the Foundation set out to spread compassion and support to those in need across Boca Raton and Palm Beach County. Since its inception, it has raised over $18 million in grants. By focusing on funding specific projects rather than general operating expenses, the Foundation has made a tangible impact on over 10,000 children in the region. This remarkable legacy was shaped in part by the leadership of Arthur Adler, Chairman Emeritus. A tireless advocate for underserved children, his entrepreneurship and creative genius transformed countless lives and established BWCF as a beacon of hope and support.
Turning Events into Life-Changing Donations
Each year, the Boca West Children’s Foundation hosts events like the Annual Golf Challenge to raise funds for its 35+ charity partners. These contributions support initiatives such as providing at-risk children with summer camp opportunities at the YMCA and funding academic mentoring and through Best Foot Forward. The Adolph & Rose Levis JCC uses these contributions to fund its summer camp for children and young adults with special needs. Other charity partners include Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County, JAFCO Children’s Ability Center, Place of Hope, and more.
45,000 Hours of Community Support
The Boca West Children’s Foundation supports over 9,000 children annually, with dedicated volunteers contributing more than 45,000 hands-on hours. Their Annual Diaper Drive, which began in 2015 with 17,775 diapers, has grown to provide over 300,000 diapers to The Diaper Bank Covering South Florida. For 2025, the Foundation is challenging neighboring country clubs to help reach a goal of one million diapers. The Foundation also hosts children from partner charities to enjoy Boca West Country Club’s annual Carnival, providing a day of rides and treats to kids. During the holidays, over 150 children from the Boys and Girls Clubs of Boca Raton and Delray Beach enjoy a shopping trip, a festive brunch, gifts, and a holiday basket to take home.
