With the completion of its luxurious, European-inspired spa last summer, Boca West Country Club is ready to move ahead with an approved $45 million Club Expansion Program that includes new construction of an Aquatics Center and refresh of the existing Lifestyle and Racquet Center. Aquatics Center

A beautiful destination for couples and families alike, the seismic, 96,000-square-foot Aquatics Center will showcase an expansive, tropical plush landscaped pool deck; Splash Pool Bar & Grill, an alfresco restaurant and bar overlooking the pools as well as the Palmer Golf Course; a bathhouse with showers and lockers; a multipurpose event space; two activity lawns; and five pools, including a four-lane lap pool, a family pool with zero entry, an adult pool with submerged loungers, a teaching pool, and a kids’ pool with a splash pad. The new Aquatics Center promises to be “The Jewel of Boca West.”

Lifestyle and Racquet Center

The two-story, Lifestyle and Racquet Center will similarly undergo a  full-scale renovation and be enlarged to 72,000 square feet, also to be completed by November 2022. The Fitness and Wellness Center will weave in several movement studios with state of the art technology for spin, aerobics, pilates, and core training. A serene spa relaxation courtyard will be added with an outdoor wet area. Amongst the myriad enhancements, an outdoor rooftop bar and terrace overlooking the magnificent Palmer Golf Course will be introduced as well as a Grab-N-Go Market Café with a fountain courtyard for dining, adult game room and updated billiards room, new two-story lobby, and a beautiful valet entrance with a three-lane porte cochere and a multi-level water feature.

The Club’s dining destinations will undergo ancillary enhancements. My Pi Restaurant will receive a new bar with expanded dining availability, an open concept kitchen including a sushi and pizza bar and the adjacent Onyx Bar will be enlarged to entertain larger crowds with an outdoor rooftop terrace.

Summer of 2021, improvements to the Social Clubhouse’s indoor and outdoor areas will feature a clean, modern aesthetic in the Living Room lounge, updated dining and catering concepts, an expanded exterior entrance walkway with picturesque water features, and additional upgrades. Mr. D’s 19th Hole Restaurant will be significantly refurbished and enhanced with indoor and outdoor dining with an upgraded Louvered roof structure covering the patio and extending over the Flightscope Golf experience adjacent to Mr. D’s for daytime instructional use and evening fun activities. The conversion of an existing second-floor space in the Engineering building will create space for a multi-purpose Art and Culinary demonstration studio to accommodate classes for arts and crafts, culinary and beverage demo experiences, and educational classes.

All across America, many are currently sheltering in place and as our everyday lives are affected, we find ourselves reflecting on where we call home. Is this where we want to be? Walking on Golf Cart Paths

While residents practice social distancing, they are able to take to the outdoor areas of Boca West for their daily walks, to walk a dog, or just to get out of the house to get some exercise and fresh air. Based on the circumstances, the Club is permitting walking on cart paths of the golf courses. Residents are asked to follow a few simple rules but are otherwise permitted to roam the paths to get some much needed fresh air.

Entertainment For Everyone

Social events are the heart of Boca West. While members are not able to gather in person, for now, the Club has been sending out a daily email called “Entertainment for Everyone” with links to virtual events, tours, and more. Known to have a robust calendar of events and activities year-round, the Club always works to ensure that there’s no shortage of activities for members. The Club is also providing various videos of golf tips, fitness tips, spa tips, tennis tips, and shop from home options. For members at Boca West, sheltering in place is not so bad with so many ways to make their time indoors as interesting and productive as possible.

Dance It Out

When in doubt, dance it out! Akoya is keeping its residents moving and connected with weekly dance classes, currently every Tuesday morning. Residents are able to join these classes by just stepping out onto their private terrace overlooking the entrance to Akoya.

Fine Wine At Home

The culinary team at Boca West works year-round to ensure that all of its delicious meals are paired with the right wine. The Club is famous for hosting wine tasting events and keeping an extensive collection. While wine tasting events may be paused, for now, the pantry offers weekly featured wine for residents to place their orders for pick up.

Boca West members can call in to place their orders for next day pick up for a variety of different items from the pantry. Members are able to order Milk, Eggs, Fresh Fruit and Veggies, a variation of select meats, toilet paper, and much more. Wishing for a home-cooked meal without all the prep work? Boca West has that covered too. Choose from five different Heat & Eat options. The Boca West Boutique Bakery is also offering five different bread selections including a sugar-free option! Coming soon members will also be able to cook along with Chef Roger as he demonstrates the art of cooking from the comfort of his own home! These meal kits included all the ingredients for two people pre-measured, the recipe for the Meal Step-by-Step instructions and a bottle of wine!

TO-GO Services

Boca West is offering a variety of different food services to its members from prepared meals to supplying all ingredients needed to cook their own dish. Members can get To-Go from Grand Central by selecting items off of the Dinner Specials To-Go menu or all-day menu. The all-day menu features a variety of choices from the Broadway Burgers, Subway Local Greens, Grand Central Favorites, the Fish Boc, Chinatown, Pizza, and a selection from the Deli. The Dinner specials offer a variety of different selection from sea to shore.
